London is cool
I spent a week in London attending KubeCon, and there are a few things that caught my eye:
- On the train to London, 6 out of the 7 people were reading a book. And there is an incredible diversity and density in bookshops here. I LOVE IT.
- TfL moves a LOT of people every day. This is a characteristic of most European cities, but I felt like London has great public transport.
- My standards have fallen in Berlin, but even the average Indian food in London feels on point.
- The pub culture. On a Thursday evening, and presumably every evening, the numerous pubs are full. Pubs have retained their third-place status, and the general act of hanging out and socialising after work endures.
I hate the visa cost and process, though.
